Answer:
The work teams can be divided into three categories and are functional, Self-managed and Virtual.
The functional team consists of manager and some subordinates, a self-managed team has no manager and this team is required to complete a task which facilitates a customer. The virtual team; as it is clear from the name works virtually through a computer network. The members of this team are far apart but can be connected though network.

Answer:
a. Advantage:
The best advantage of this kind of departmentalization is that it give rise to specialization. The employee in that particular domain is focused on one specific assignment and the leader can be authority in that job.
b. Disadvantage:
It isolates that particular department from the other sections of the process.  The department is totally devoted to its own job instead of provided a benefit to the whole production process.
